They kept getting stuck in my nail gun, but they were there.

These picks get stuck in my nail gun all the time, but they were the cheapest ring bars I could find in this size. If I could find a suitable alternative that wasn't outrageously expensive I would buy others. They REALLY hold up well. OSB nails and OSB breaks before the nail breaks out of the 2x4 so here's the thing.

Pros
  • Nailed: These 2-inch striped plastic frame nails are made of hot-dip galvanized steel to resist rust and corrosion and are designed for use with most 21-degree frame nailers. your next building project.
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

No Jamming Nail Gun - 100 Short Nails Per Box

The nails did exactly what they were supposed to. My husband had no problems with the gun jamming. This part was a winner! But there should have been 2,000 nails, and there were only 1,900. They were poorly packaged - apparently they thought he wouldn't notice. Although the nails were of good quality

Pros
  • QUALITY AND DURABILITY We manufacture our tools from the strongest materials under strict quality control guidelines, suitable for professional contractors and hobbyists alike. Our tools are sold, distributed, serviced and guaranteed in the USA.
Cons
  • Obsolete

But it fits well.

On my last project the nails worked well with just 1 stick, however plastic nail remnants often got stuck under the nail head and are visible on the outside of the fiber cement siding. It had to be scraped off before painting, no big deal but an issue nonetheless.

Pros
  • Pro Design These 2" nails are ideal for framing work with the Freeman PFR2190 21 Degree Round Head Nailer. They have a rust resistant, thick zinc plated finish and ring shank for better grip, superior holding power and better retrieval.
Cons
  • Very expensive

They kept getting stuck in my nail gun, but they were there.

They keep getting stuck in my nail gun but these were the cheapest ring studs of this size I could find. If I could find a suitable alternative that wasn't outrageously expensive, I would buy others. They hold up VERY well. Nailing the OSB, and the OSB breaks before the nail falls out of the 2x4, that's what.

Pros
  • Tough and dependable, we manufacture a wide range of durable construction tools and accessories including staplers and nailers for siding, flooring, frames, siding and roofing. Compare our products to those from Makita, Hitachi, Bostitch, Senco, Paslode and Dewalt.
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Lots of jams and misfeeds in my Makita nailer

The nails do the job, but it's rare that multiple passes are made without jamming or a gap between the nails, requiring the pusher to be withdrawn and the nails reinserted in the guide. I kept loading more and more nails before hitting the last 20, so the problem isn't that there aren't enough nails in the lane. I've never used 2" nails so maybe that's to be expected, but I haven't had this problem with 3.25" nails.

Pros
  • The right tool for the job We are committed to providing exceptional value, superior customer service and durable, high quality products. We make nailers and staplers for everything from roofing to paneling to flooring and everything in between.
Cons
  • Crumpled Pack
