I've only used it on pine a few times but it cuts clean and easy. A very wide piece and then cut to size. The bat was simply shipped in a plastic bag. No blister packaging and of course no case. For this price I would have expected better packaging. The plastic bag itself was well packaged for shipping so the racquet was not damaged.
