🪚 Freud Precision Shear Forstner PB 104: Superior Cutting Performance at its Finest Review

Excellent Forstener bits made in Austria not China. They are scalloped and cut like butter through hardwoods like red oak. I drilled 25 3/4" holes, 12 1/2" holes and 8 1/4" holes in red oak with a hand drill. Very impressive. I'm glad I paid more for good quality.

These bits are sharp and cut big holes, I can't praise the durability but once I used them they worked great. I've used them to cut a hole in a bird house and stick a small round coin in a tree, as well as various other tasks. Very handy when working with wood and they are of good quality.

These really are precision drills! There are no rough edges, everything is polished almost to a high gloss, the edges are razor sharp (and solid), the dimensions are correct. They make the cut look like butter to the point where you don't even have to press. You simply glide over the tree at full power! The wood chips are very fine and the cut is smooth without burning.
