Mark on mug is hard to read. I have not verified the accuracy but would like to read the reviews and do so before ordering. The biggest problem is that after a ride in the dishwasher (normal cycle, no heat drying) the marks have completely disappeared - photos attached. To be fair the photos were taken after two washes in the dishwasher! I hesitated and missed my return window so I was stuck with a "bowl of cereal" as another reviewer put it.

My main goal in purchasing this item was that it had a 1/3 cup measurement line. I wasn't paying attention and thought it was a 1 cup measuring cup. These are 2 mugs that have become very useful. It is beautiful, durable and used often. I am very happy with this purchase. Post-check: I finally compared the volume and found that the volume markings on the side are wrong. What the real 1/3 cup is is the same as the 1/4 cup mark on the side. So I add too much liquid to my recipes. Send back.

These are excellent solid gauges, if sized right they would be great. The 1 cup size stays a full 1/4" from the edge of the surface when I fill it with a measuring cup that I know is the right size. The measuring cup actually holds a full 1.25 cups of flour. This makes it unusable for dry measurement.
