There must be a ground wire on the fan motor. Nobody is there. Also, the engine was dead on arrival. Wouldn't recommend at all.

Original fan lasted 4 years, replacement took 13 months. Hope this one lasts longer. In fact, it looks like a high-quality fan that even bears the Panasonic trademark.

Direct replacement. Replacing the old motor takes about 5 minutes. In my case, there is no need to buy the plastic fan itself. Just take it off your broken motor and put it on for a replacement. If your freezer is still cold, the compressor is still running and you measure the voltage at the motor terminals, replacing this motor may solve your problem. Worked great for me and saved me about $30 on a site with "direct parts" from the Kenm0re folks and who knows how much maintenance it costs…

EDIT: As of November 2016 this fan motor has failed. Served about two years. Excellent unit. It has been installed in the Frigidaire FFHT1513LW5 refrigerator for over a year and works great. Don't make too much noise. It just does what it's supposed to. To diagnose a problem with the original fan motor, I was fortunate enough to hook up another fan motor from a working refrigerator of the same model type.
