Frigidaire 5304506516 Upper Wash Spinner Review

Worked to replace a part on a 13 year old Frigidaire dishwasher, although the part numbers were different from the old part numbers (the old ones Part numbers were 1544637 for the screw and 1544681 for the rotating part of the atomizer).

so I read the reviews on this part and expected I would have to reuse the old threaded bushing but this didn't happen. They may have changed the design, but it fits perfectly. goes straight up. I will keep the old part in case something goes wrong but am very happy with this purchase.

Thread does not match my old washer as stated by several reviewers. Luckily I was able to take the parts apart and use an old part with a new part to get it working, but if you're unlucky and the original threaded part broke, you're out of luck.

Different type of plastic, slightly different design, improved water flow I think. Bolted on very tightly, had to pull the dishwasher halfway out to hold the fitting on top of the tank to begin assembly and tighten it properly. Works great, does its job, washes top shelf dishes. Dishwasher 8 years old, extended life.

As mentioned, it is very easy to install and works well. This was an aftermarket part for my particular dishwasher. Comparing the new to the old I don't know why they used the old design in the first place (really bad). Now my top shelf is washing well and I haven't encountered any problems. On the downside, it's a simple molded plastic part that shouldn't cost nearly as much as they charge for it, but they're taking the market by storm.

If you have an old Frigidaire dishwasher and need part no. 1544681, then this is not the case, despite what the sellers of Frigidaire and various parts say. The union nut is not screwed onto the water pipe on the dishwasher ceiling. I took this sprinkler apart and put it on the original's swivel nut and it seems to work.
