Served its purpose. This was necessary to replace one that was obviously "worn out" after 18 months of service. Obviously there are no aftermarket suppliers for this part, so the manufacturer is tricking you into paying an extra high price.

Our microwave started to fail and it was only 4 years old. We searched the internet for the problem and found a YouTube video describing the problem.
