My old Nespresso had a broken motor and I wasn't sure I needed a new one as I drink a lot of espresso and it gets expensive. So I think it's great that it has the ability to use its own loops. So far I've only tried the pod, and while I realized before I bought it that I'd have to pull out each pod, I didn't realize the nozzle would hold up and spread so much water all over the place. Essentially the same as HiBrew but a few bucks cheaper. Seems like suspending water than HiBrew. I've used it with both Nespresso capsules and regular ground coffee in both the standard ground coffee holder and the I-Cafilas adapter for the Dolce Gusto capsule holder. All methods produce a good espresso with a nice, thick crema. There isn't much coffee in these tiny Nespresso pods, so I wouldn't recommend them for anything other than a single-shot setting.
