Does not do its job of raising pH in water.

This product sucks. I have a 32 gallon bio cube. I used a little 1/3 of this bottle to raise the pH from 7.8 to 8.0. The entire bottle was consumed in just 3 uses. Waste of money as there are much better products out there. Don't waste your money on this product.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Fits

Killed almost all of my fish. The pH in the tank was already low at 6.5 pH. I used two full caps in a 60 gallon tank thinking it would raise the pH to 6.6. After 24 hours the pH was 6.4. Added two more caps. After 24 hours the pH was 6.2. I went to my local Petco store and bought another pH up. I dialed in the required dosage and it went up to 6.4. The Fritz bottle was meant to be mislabeled, instead of raising the pH, it was lower. I wasted my money.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • A bit of variety

The product is highly diluted and has almost no beneficial effect on pH in water. Follow Fritz's instructions for the higher pH bottle (e.g. shake before use, 1 cap/20 gallons, etc.). Within a few weeks, I noticed that the pH of the aquarium was getting more and more acidic. Bought a second pH test kit to make sure it reads correctly. Withdrawn a sample (4 oz) from an aquarium tested at pH 6.2, added a full capful of 'Fritz pH high' to this 4 oz sample, waited 10 minutes as directed and…
