Only served 4 months

The product is easy to apply and use, the only downside is that after 4 months one of them started making holes in the upper part of the gutter. I thought they would last at least until winter. Maybe it's better to find something else, or something made out of rubber. If these items were cheaper it wouldn't be so bad as the plastic would crack over time.

With a little extra, they work great.

They suit me perfectly. I used an 18" piece of 1" plastic tubing to roll up the extension. The tube helps it unroll smoothly and makes it super easy as you have handles on each side to roll it up. The rolled plastic tube fits perfectly under the gutter and keeps the extension in place until it rains. For this price you won't find anything better. See photos.

Best solution I've found

So far this has worked better than any hard plastic extensions I've tried. I have a concrete deck that was discolored in one spot from water running out of the gutter. All flexible plastic extensions leak. This product stays in place and directs water from the concrete patio into the yard. I have to turn around after the rain. I don't mind the terrace wall, so I just leave it stretched.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Good enough! in gutters

This is the third time I'm buying this product as it cracks over time but so far they've lasted two to three winters each so I think it's good enough. I had no problem just securing it to the downspout with the included zip tie. Before it rains I usually unfold it and put a big rock in the end, and about half the length more so it doesn't get blown away by the wind. If it doesn't rain for a while I roll it up by hand and use the same stones to keep it from blowing away. The automatic sweep idea

Love how easy it cleans up!

I really like this in my garden. It really looks like a thick plastic garbage bag shaped like a tube with holes for the water to drain. But I really want to direct the water off my back porch away from my foundation. I really don't want an unsightly aluminum gutter or PVC pipe running through my garden. I love how it folds up easily and is out of sight when you don't need it. However, if you do, it won't magically unfold, so I'm mindful of the weather and unweave it when it's raining. But it…

Works to drain water NOT retracts

For what I needed to extend the gutter to remove water from under the house - it works great. It was easy to install and can handle any amount of water running down your spout. For what I wanted - something that would be understated - it failed miserably. It will NOT roll by itself. Once I rolled it out from a light rain, only the end rolled slightly (once) and not just after being blown away by the wind. Now it's just a green banner that needs to be fanned out on the house wall and I have to…

Roll-out chute extension

Pros: Length as advertised, arrived quickly, easy to assemble, more convenient than fixed brackets Cons: Needs a slope or slightly level ground to drain, holes don't work properly otherwise was surprised, Make sure the extension stays attached, as it's a very simple idea, with a twisted wire that can be wrapped around the attached end. Since I have no inclination to install an extension, this doesn't work very well, but if you have one I think you'll be fine. It's not difficult to roll back…

Great product if you install with screws/washers and tape!

I installed this drainage product to prevent rainwater from collecting near my foundation. I made a few changes to the setup. First I threw a green tie over the downspout to hold the plastic sleeve in place. This is by no means enough to hold the socket securely in place. I slipped the grommet over the downspout and secured it with 2" wide tape. I then drilled 5 holes through the grommet and downspout. I then mounted the plastic washer onto some small sheet metal screws and 3 screws on the…
