Worked perfect for our Bobcat 843

Got this kit for our older Bobcat model 843 since the fuel gauge had stopped working years ago. The 30+ year old sender was rusted to almost nothing. After cutting down the new sender to match the tank depth, we have a working fuel gauge again. The install was very easy and hopefully the sender lasts for a while. The gauge is also very nice for the money and works great. Very pleased with the whole kit and definitely recommend it for the price.Will update later if anything fails.

  • Good replacement for orinal part. But no instructions or picture diagrams.
Cons
  • The fuel sender unit is not compatible with all types of vehicles

It changes level in 15-16 steps, not analog

The system is ok for the money, no moving float arm to break, probably last longer in my boat but.It changes level in about 16 steps, not analog.This unit works off of what i assume are reed switches. The magnet float slides up and down the rod and switches resistance along the way in steps. So when you get to almost empty it goes from 8% to zero. Or 100%-92% 86% 78% ect in steps. Still i would buy again for inexpensive gauge.

  • My old float w/bar would bounce the fuel gauge and this holds steady. Worked with my old fuel gauge.

  • The gauge is prone to overheating, making it unreliable in certain conditions

Very Cheaply made good for me

This is the worst unit I have ever worked with. After installing the sending unit, I was simply attaching the sending wire when suddenly the bolt spun free, and the unit fell into the gas tank. After hours of fishing the unit out of the tank with a coat hanger, it was obvious that the flimsy fiber washer holding the unit and sending bolt together was not strong enough to handle even hand tight. Needless to say I had to buy another sending unit. After and uneventful installation of a new and…

Worked for 1/2 tank of fuel

I install on an old ford backhoe that we use around the farm. I might put 5 hours a month on the tractor. It had not had a fuel gauge in years and thought it would be nice to have one again. Really easy to install, Once installed it worked for almost 1/2 tank of fuel. The sending unit stop working. I would not recommend this product.

Pickup tool box fuel tank combo install

Wish it came with threaded option. Perfect use in auxiliary fuel tanks in pickup beds. Either 1.5” or 2” threaded instead of the bolt holes would have made it absolutely perfect

The joint/elbow was too large to fit through my gas tank hole on my boat. Should have bought a straight one. That's my feedback.

Incomplete package on my review.

Package with all the screws ,nuts,and washers was open in the package and loose. Some had fell out of box and we’re missing so I had to go buy more

finally. been looking for this for years.

works great. appears to be accurate. installed 5 bolts from inside tank. gasket held them in place. dropped unit in place and secured with lock washers and nuts. didn't hookup light. really nice product.

Disappointed on my review.

So at first when I installed it, it seemed to work. First time cutting grass and it did move a little but never went below 3/4 of a tank. Attempted to reprogram several time (9) and to no avail. Now it reads completely backwards. I have attached a short video. Unfortunately my window for return was up a week ago. There is only a 30 day return policy on this. I should have installed this as soon as I got it but life keeps me busy and installed it 2 days ago and went for the first use today…

Great Quality best in my review

I’ve been through two senders and gages since we purchased our pontoon. We installed all of them since our boat did not have a fuel gauge. This gage is made so much better and easy to install. Fingers crossed that this one will last much much longer!

Great fuel gauge replacement

Used to replace the fuel gauge and sending unit on my VW trike. Sending unit fit perfectly on the 14 gallon tank and the gauge works great. The existing wiring made the hookup easy, and I like being able to make the backlight red for night riding. Good product at a decent price.

Looks pretty good for my opinion

I've yet to reach the point in my project to drop the tank, and I'm just now starting to create a new gauge cluster so I can't really rate the function. Visually it looks pretty good, and the price bc was right. Time will tell.
