Made of plastic! - Household Items

I was very excited to buy this item to try as we are trying to lead a more sustainable lifestyle. It works about average for removing some foods from our pots and pans, but not well for foods that are really crunchy. But what's really concerning is that while this product is only made from walnut shells on this platform, the company's website says it's also made from plastic, albeit recycled. That's why it doesn't compost. I'm disappointed that all the websites selling it don't fully disclose…

BEST SPONGE PERIOD

These are the BEST sponges on the market. Made from natural and biodegradable walnut shells, they are delicate yet durable. They last for weeks if not months if you keep them clean (and dry, that's key to keeping sponges from getting really nasty) and during that time you can actually see them biodegrading. So if one starts falling apart where it's actually no longer usable, you won't get frustrated with throwing it away because it will end up collapsing rather than staying in a landfill almost

Excellent scrubber - non-compostable

These scrubbers are great. I especially appreciate their cleanliness on my juicer parts. They seem to work very well with colander-type kitchen appliances, which is difficult to achieve. They also work great with pots. I also really like that they are (allegedly) compostable and not made of plastic. I threw it on the compost heap. I will report. ---- I'll get back to you as promised. I've included a photo of the scrubbers I dug up from the compost heap after several months of burial. They don't

too flat, especially compared to other walnut sponges

I usually buy Costco sponges on sale. Then one day I received a sample of walnut sponge from the Hain collective. I was extremely skeptical. but this thing lasted forever, held soap fantastically, and cleaned vigorously and gently. the white appearance was also good. I knew Grove Collective could be more expensive than good old Amazon, so I bought these sponges. they are not of the same quality as the ones I had in the grove. They were flatter/thinner, wore out quickly and didn't hold soap…
