For wood screw sizes #6, #8, #10, #12, and #14. Countersinks combine pre-drilling for screw threads and clearance drilling for screw shank. Countersinks combine counterboring for wood plugs (if needed) and countersinking for the screw head. Plug cutters produce wood plugs to match their counterbores. Made in USA.
Based on my observations, these drill bits are nothing but a waste of money. The only good thing about them is that they come in a set of five, but even that doesn't make up for their poor performance. The bits are not durable and break easily. Using them is a frustrating experience as they constantly slip and do not create clean holes. Overall, I would not recommend these bits to anyone.
Pros
Efficient set with five different sizes for drilling a range of hole sizes
These are well made and a real time saver. Good conical drills. I almost didn't buy them because it seemed like too much. But I took the pill and I'm glad I did. Also, the case is a good way to keep them all together and it's decently made. Never used cork tongs or hex holder so don't worry. Overall a solid set. I would even recommend them to casual users for their time savings (no tossing, dropping, and re-tossing).
Pros
Cork cutters produce wooden corks to match their countersunk holes
This tapered drill bit format is my personal favorite. The available stops are not used very often, but they are useful accessories. The size selection is large. The box is a great way to pack and store all the pieces in one handy unit, and it's certainly more durable than most of the "plastic" boxes these sets are packaged in these days. The cork cutter works well in a hand drill, even better in a drill press. This is my third fuller beat set in three and a half decades. I trade in old setsβ¦
