Description of πŸ”¨ Fulton Long Handle J Roller | Thick Rubber Roller 1-1/2” Dia. x 2-7/8” W | Ideal for Veneers, Laminate, Wall Coverings, and Edge Banding | Maximum Pressure Adhesion

Applying veneer, laminate or even wall coverings usually requires some tools that you may not find in your neighborhood big box store or even at a local mom and pop hardware store. The Fulton J-Roller is one of those items and is the ideal tool for applying pressure to your sheet or paper goods to ensure proper adhesion to your work surface. When applying veneer on wood for example, you generally need to exert a good amount of even downward pressure on the veneer sheet or roll. To do this, we could use a flat bar of some sort, but that generally won’t be even enough and can’t get into the slight undulations of the wood surface. The Fulton J-Roller is the perfect width to properly work the veneer for proper adhesion. A full 12” long, the J-Roller is the perfect length to handle most any project where you need to apply sheet goods to another surface. The roller is made from a firm, non-marring, textured rubber material that helps you apply pressure where it is needed. The roller wall is about 3/8” thick so it will stand up to the rigorous chore of applying pressure to your sheet goods. The heavy duty steel handle is designed to help you exert as much pressure as possible to the work surface. The handle is wrapped with two separate sections of comfortable rubber grips for extended use and less hand fatigue. The bottom of the handle forms the β€œJ” to attach the heavy duty rubber roller without getting in the way of your rolling process. Using the Fulton J-Roller gives you the ability to evenly apply pressure to your veneer, laminates and wall coverings to provide maximum adhesion. Perfect for working many of those project types around the house or in your woodworking shop. The roller measures approximately 2-7/8” wide.

Works as intended

Works as intended. One thing it will improve is a concave roller on the outside so you can get close to the edge. Walk along something you have about 3/8 inch because you will hit it with the center mounting nut.

Don't waste money!

rubber roller has no working depth. I wanted to use it as weather protection around windows with existing trim and to prevent U-arching and since the rubber roller isn't thick enough it hangs and doesn't touch. waste of money.

strong, smooth, with good print

I used these to push down some vinyl planks and a wooden edge when assembling a countertop. He did great with both and survived to see the next project. I really put my weight on it and it never buckled or sagged.

Pros
  • delivery was very fast
Cons
  • ugly packaging

Great value for money and works well

The product worked well on some countertops, I chose this model as it was intended for me as SINGLE USE. However, we strongly recommend the version with an extra grip to apply more pressure when gripping more than a small area.

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Useful for edging

Purchased for edging on plywood. I tried a DIY solution before purchasing and found this roller to be well worth the money for its durability, ease of use and results. The same is not true for some of the other tools used for edging.

Cons

Budget Paint Rollers

Reworked the mold and couldn't find my old roller. Ordered this one and it worked like a roller. The front black plastic slipped with use, but other than that it was worth the money and rolled smoothly. I hope I don't have to buy another one but if I did need one I would buy it again for the price.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons

This roller is HARD

I use it to veneer Baltic birch plywood. When I received the Revain package and held it in my hands, I realized that it was HARD. very durable. The reel is also very durable and there seems to be a way to replace the reel should it ever be needed. This gives me much better results than the old dowel piece I've used in the past.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not automatic

Solid and simple. - Paint roller

J-shaped roller for extruding veneer or laminate. or at least that's how I use it. It is very well designed and built. Very durable, with good quality rubber roller. The roller collects dust, but smooth rubber is not durable and becomes sticky over time. I think that's enough. Some complaints about the rubber coating on the grip slide. Yes, that's true, but I would think you can move it by design to where it best suits your needs. Good product and I would almost consider buying a backup because

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive
