I have assembled a lot of cheap furniture in my life and this is the best/sturdy/designed version of cheap chinese garbage shelf I have ever assembled. Of course, an expensive solid wood shelving unit would be ideal, but if you're a cheap person like me then this is actually a pretty good product.

After 7 months, the lower (longer) side panels will begin to deform and fall apart. The back comes out of the grooves and becomes unstable. Eventually the shelves collapse. I was a little worried about this after reading the reviews but very easy to assemble. There are pre-drilled holes, if you don't use pre-drilled holes they will break. I recommend using your own wall mounts, they are just plastic and there are no pre-drilled holes for the wall mount. This bookcase is very easy to assemble; especially with a cordless drill. In general, the device makes a pretty solid impression, especially for its price. The back is made of thin material, but there are instructions and tools to help fix the problem a bit. I have only 2 cons with this device. The wall brackets are only to prevent the shelf from tipping over. You will rip the screws out of the drywall if you try to attach them without anchors, which are not included. I weigh over 100 pounds as shown in the photo and I would never consider hanging this on the wall (off the floor). Cheap and mostly flimsy. I almost always have a hard time putting these things together because the pieces fit together and because of the hardware used especially the top and bottom they have this frustrating interlocking system, those mounting screws don't quite fit. Packing and unpacking my tools quickly destroyed and crushed the cheap gear. This resulted in the top and bottom not fully connecting, nothing other than hitting my hammer was able to fix that.
