Make sure they fit without modifications

Didn't fit my application without modifying the top mounting point on the car. I wish this was stated in the product description. I could go the other way.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Not bad

FITS 1957 THUNDERBIRD

Found these and installed them on my 1957 Thunderbird by recommendation. Fits perfectly. Feed the air supply through the neck of the fuel line housing and push it up. Just open the trunk and it's there. Barely noticeable, and I don't think I'll get scolded for it at a car show. The drivability has improved by 100%. Good quality, all necessary parts. Ready to install. Just need a big elevator!

  • Wow

Gabriel made them?

The air cartridge used to fill the lines was and is problematic. The tire pressure gauge cannot measure the pressure. Only a high capacity inflator is deep enough to add air. To be honest, they looked pretty bad. If I hadn't already installed them, they honestly would have been sent back. If you are looking for an air shock absorber, spend a few bucks more for better quality.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Expensive

it's terribly good for shock absorbers

Bought a set of these shocks and installed them, cut and installed the hose lines, routed the lines and air nipple into the truck and when I went to inflate them one of the shocks leaked air from the top of the piston. Called Revain and they did a great job sending me a new pair the next day. I inflated them before putting them on the car and they held the air. installed them, and when I started pumping them up, both shocks were releasing air from the piston. I think when they have weight itโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • The list will go on.

The old way of jacking up the back of a car

Bought this set of air struts to raise the back of my vintage car. In my opinion, using air stays was the easiest, quickest, and cheapest way to raise the back of my car. Also, I could easily adjust the altitude by adding a little more air or lowering it back down to relieve some of the air pressure. The minimum air pressure for these air shocks is 25psi and the maximum is 200psi. I bought these struts mainly to raise my car as we said in our old school days and they do a very good job.
