Package received on time. Started installing them. Everything was great until I connected the air hoses. The shock absorbers had tapered hose mounts. The air hoses I received were screwed on. They could not be attached to the new shock absorbers. Luckily I'm pretty accommodating so I came up with a temporary solution. This was disappointing, it would have made my rating a 5 if the air hoses could have been easily attached.

Okay I ordered the same air shocks from another company and they wouldn't take air, I needed another pair immediately and thought of Amazon so got them straight away. I was able to install them the same day. They worked like a charm for my 1997 Cadillac Eldorado, I could drive all the way to Chicago, 120 miles from where I live. They held up with no problems, but the bad news is I can't tell you how well they ran a year later because Cadillac ended up blowing the head gaskets. But the air…

I gave it a good review when I installed it, really good price, good quality I think, although the hose connection on the shock was a threaded connection instead of a Cadillac push and clamp connection. A "service tech with attitude" told me to use the old plug, WE do this all the time! I'm a meticulous plumber and make sure all points that might come into contact with anything have a rubber hose or grommet to protect the line. Ordered for my 2001 Eldorado. They were surprisingly easy to install on my car until I tried fitting the hose kit that came with it - it doesn't have the right shock fittings. Why do they include a hose kit that doesn't match the boxed shocks? This is what the world is like in the 21st century, it seems - khur-dur. Whatever you use the included hose set for, it will add grandeur to your local junkyard in the long run - no doubt it will one day make an exciting find for a future archaeologist…
