Only Lasted Two Years

These Gabriel 77953 MAX CONTROL shock absorbers only lasted about two years on my Tahoe before they started squeaking enough to make me uncomfortable to drive and through others had to be replaced. Brand.

Pros
  • Shock And Vibration Dampening
Cons
  • New Competitors Have Popped Up

Buy if you want a low driver. Excellent shock absorber for 2x2

These shock absorbers are very soft. I installed them on my 4x4 commuter SUV and lowered the rear 2 inches. I bought shock extensions and they only raised them 1 inch. Definitely not the look I was aiming for. These shocks are coming back, not recommended for large SUVs with 33" tires. Low driver Yes. 2 stars because they look good.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • little things

Stay away from these

I bought these after checking the installation and application and paid little more than an OEM replacement. When I finally got around to putting them on, it was outside the Revain return window and I was stuck with $100 mechanical shock absorbers that were making my truck rattle like a rock. They will be removed as soon as possible and replaced with locally made shock absorbers. Thank you Reven and Gabriel!

Pros
  • shock absorbers with improved handling/performance
Cons
  • shock absorbers There are even more interesting options.
