Solid Shocks

These shocks work great on my 2001 F150 Supercrew. My only complaint: I wish the upper rubber bushings looked like the original parts (better design).

Pros
  • Good Thing
Cons
  • Available in White Only

Wrong fixings, stripped threads

While these shock absorbers may be good, it is clear that they have been sold, returned or reconditioned. I bought 2 for the back of my F-150 and both had grease and scratches where they had obviously been previously installed. One had the fittings completely wrong, and the thread at the end was completely twisted. I hope the front shock absorbers are in the best condition.

Pros
  • Inexpensive
Cons
  • Reliability

Great shocks for F-150

Bought these rear shocks for my 1998 F-150 when the stock shocks had about 54,000 miles on them. shock absorber kit. The truck is now 19 years old and deserves fresher shock absorbers. I was right that these shocks ride better than the shocks they replaced. Not sure if they are any better than the original shocks when new but they are an improvement over the shocks after 19 years and 54,000 miles of use.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Some imperfections

Tundra SR5, I fitted a Bilstien 5100 in the rear and a KYB Gas Ajust in the front two years ago and have never been satisfied. Installed a Gabriel Ultra front and rear and made big changes to comfort and stability. Now I feel like I have a better truck. If you don't have 4 wheels and you're not on top, you don't need a Bilstien. With Gabriel Ultras, your truck will feel safer on the road without sacrificing comfort.

Pros
  • Yearly Trial
Cons
  • Protection
