A big improvement over the original Gamma seals.

TankFarm, the seller through Revain packaged them nicely and included a moisture monitoring card as a bonus. It's good to know that what you're storing has too much moisture on the color chart. We've been using Gamma Seals since 1998. The originals had spots around the edges where dust could collect. This new type doesn't dust like the old ones. Additionally, there is a thicker o-ring for a tighter fit on the top of the bucket.

Airtight and watertight closure!

I am very happy with my Gamma Seal caps. I have had one of their Gamma Seal pet food containers for a number of years, which has been outside and exposed to rain and snow, but has still not shown any signs of wear and tear and is completely watertight, yet easy to open without making a mistake. I have used a few of my Gamma Seal lids before and they have proven to be the same quality as pet food containers and I have no doubt they will last for years. I have no problem snapping plastic buckets…

Great storage solution

I've got six right now and will probably buy six more. Some reviews mention that the ring is difficult to put on, but I just removed the inner cap and it snapped into place with a little elbow force. Another review says you can get them at Home Depot for $2 less. Well maybe if they were in stock and I could order them for store pickup but delivery was within 48 hours and the major department stores are 20 miles away so it worked for me. For only about $15 for a bucket and lid, you have…

Gamma Seal caps work great and are easy to use.

Works great with 5 gallon food grade plastic pails. I use buckets to store rice. I buy rice in 50 pound bags (cheaper per pound) from a local grocery store in Asia and then store it in buckets. Gamma Seal lids can be a bit difficult to snap all the way around the pail. Using your own body weight can help, but be careful if you tend to be clumsy lest the bucket tip over and fly out from under you. The lids provide a good seal for the buckets to keep the rice fresh and it is much easier to open…

Poly Farm and Gamma Rock!

*****Edited to add*****02-12-2018I recently bought more buckets and when choosing I did something I do without closing it remember support for others using gamma sealed lids. I run my fingers over the bucket lid sealing surface and only smooth buckets with no sharp edges, nicks, etc. In other words, I carefully select buckets for the cleanest possible sealing surface. Another tip that might help. some if you lightly lubricate the o-ring with Dow111 silicone grease, which will extend the life of

I'm embarrassed that it says "Made in USA "

The first lid I pulled out of the shipping box was problematic. The sealing ring on the screw cap fell to the ground as soon as the snap ring on the bucket was removed from the screw cap. The O-ring looks like it came loose at the seam. The second lid I pulled from the shipping carton, I installed on a 3.5 gallon pail with ease. I filled it with water and screwed the lid on. I carefully tipped the bucket on its side and water immediately began to drip out. Water got in between the ring attached
