Relatively easy installation (Smart Life App)

Update 4/11: If you're using the Smart Life app and go to the Smart tab, you can set up tap-to-run automation. I installed one to open the garage door and one to close the garage door. Then it can be done with one click and no need to press two buttons. ********** It took about an hour and most of the time I went through everything and made sure I knew what needed to be done before beginning the installation. Works with my Sears 76LE 70s Easy Set

Installed same day. Before purchasing, I shorted out my current wall opener with a screwdriver and opened the door, which means it's compatible with my current opener. I started to switch to 2.4GZ network for programming and app download. The smart home apps I had didn't have a garage door option. If you used to have smart apps for outlets and lights, you may have an account and don't need a new one, but you do need the app that's in the book because my current smart apps didn't have a garage…

Great geofencing features!

GOODβ€’ Compared to MyQ, it is easier to use and much more flexible. The Tuya/Smart Life platform is reliable in my experience and integrates seamlessly with Google Home and Alexa. Happy to give up the MyQ app that has always tried to sell me an integration I don't need. (FYI, I'm not going to integrate a garage door opener with Google or Alexa because the idea of someone outside my home being able to just yell "Hey Google, open the garage" doesn't sit well with me.
