Looks solid, low profile, no leaks yet

Some reviews suggest there may be quality control issues with this drain pan and ALL oil pans seem to suffer the same way. I did my first oil change with it with no problems and no sign of a leak. The pallet itself is not very high, so it fits well under vehicles. The sump funnel works fine, but cleaning it out was the only messy part of the oil change. Very happy so far, will update if things go differently.

Great design and wider funnel than other designs.

Beautiful, slim design with compact storage. I didn't have any of the quality issues mentioned in other reviews. I am very happy with this purchase. I would recommend the manufacturer to put a drain plug in the middle of the pan where the funnel is kept. This would allow for a lower profile with no funnel or give the funnel twice the room to catch the oil plug while draining the filter.

  • Annual Trial

Terrible quality! Do not buy!

I needed a pan big enough to hold the 10 gallons of oil my Mustang uses. I saw bad reviews but bought anyway. I examined it very carefully and found no defects; All the caps are tight and there weren't any holes anywhere so I figured everything would be fine. Shortly after I started draining the oil, I saw a rapidly growing puddle. The pan cracked in place and the oil spilled out. Please listen to the bad reviews and don't buy this oil pan. That thing is a cheap piece of shit!

So, like many others here, I got my pan with me.

So, like many others here, I have my pot with chewed strings on the top lid that holds the oil when it's on its side. Not good at all. Tested with water poured out like a sink. However, I found a great solution that would raise this to 5 stars (if it weren't for a crappy solution I came up with). I replaced the top cap with one I pulled from a 2 liter soda bottle. Very simple, just cut out the area of the cover, edit it and glue it with superglue. It's now water and airtight and I can count onโ€ฆ

The design is superb - built-in funnel for side entry.

Great design - built in funnel for side entry when placed horizontally under car for a change. The funnel is screwed securely and the container has a screw at the top for later pouring. it is not possible to adequately seal this container without leakage. I used this container once and tossed it in a bin bag just in case and sure enough when I went to Pepboys to drop it off it was leaking everywhere. I checked the seal before throwing it in the car and it didn't slosh but the screw cap justโ€ฆ

Ideal for easy maintenance!

I've recently started the regular maintenance of my lawn mowers but I had limited storage space and was concerned about having to keep track of too many things so this item doubles as a storage case and the Pallet it is stored on it was really attractive. After reading the reviews I tested it for water tightness before use and didn't find the slightest leak, both lids close very well. Obviously such plastic items can contain lemons in their production cycles, so it is highly recommended toโ€ฆ

Update - Leak but great customer service.

Update March 29, 2017 My initial review is below but the company contacted me and offered a replacement. Got a replacement today and no leaks. The cap that leaked on the old one does not have a manufacturing defect like the original and therefore seals as it should. I've upped this to 4 stars (up from 2) because I expect most people will get one that works just as well as my replacement. Thank you Trusolv for reaching out to me and making this easy. As I said, it drips. The bottom of the screwโ€ฆ

Poor production for transferring fuel and lubes

Good concept but poor production. I bought it. There are two plugs that screw on. One at the top next to the yellow funnel and one at the end of the pen line. The top is perfect. The end for me was terrible. This is the one that contains the oil. The lid was not screwed on because the thread was broken. It looks like it was either made in two pieces and soldered together, or injected into a two-piece mold. The seam runs through the end grommet. I had excess plastic which narrowed the hole butโ€ฆ
