Nice little mallet

I was expecting this mallet to be a bit bigger but it's my fault for not checking the dimensions of the product. In general everything was fine, I just felt that it wasn't strong enough, I used it for leather work, but overall I'm very happy with this product.

Pros
  • Fits me great
Cons
  • Secret

Saved me a trip to the wind instrument workshop.

Worked well to repair damaged threads - on the valve body of my euphonium. I tapped gently on the valve cover and slowly screwed it all the way in, straightening out the damaged threads. Softening the edges took a lot of time. Soak a lot in water and hit the cinder block.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Important - size 1 is tiny!

A trifle! Not the sellers fault, it clearly says size 1. Not sure who that really helps, other than professional leather mallet users. Seriously, this thing is too small for those who don't know leather mallet dimensions by heart. Of course it would be helpful to show this thing next to something else to give a little perspective. Anyway, I got it working for my needs, but I'll go to the store next time I need it so I can better assess the size.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • There are doubts

Rawhide hammers are hard to find

Many years ago I had a rawhide hammer and used it in various crafts; Woodworking, stained glass and jewelry. I looked for a new one but couldn't find it at hardware stores or craft stores. It seems that they can only be found online. I am very happy with my new hammer. It's good quality and I'm sure it will probably last the rest of my life. Size 1 is small, ideal for wire jewelry. This seller was also excellent. Fast efficient service.

Pros
  • Hammers
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Great size for jewelry work and great quality "Made in the USA "!

This size is ideal for jewelery making, e.g. B. for stamping rings on an anvil. Its weight is enough to flatten the metal, but the rawhide leaves no tool marks. I love the feel of this hammer - it feels good and is durable and should last for many years. Note: I would recommend preparing the hammer before use. I soaked my head in hot water for 30 minutes until the rawhide was soft, then hit it with a hammer against a clean, smooth rock - it will be very soft at first, then harden as it dries…

Pros
  • Hammers
Cons
  • Without automatic

Please make sure this is the size you want before ordering.

Ok first I will talk about the other reviews that give less than 5 stars because the size is smaller than they thought. The product description gives the dimensions across the head and the depth of the head. They don't sell it as a Β£5 sled, they sell it as described and if you can't order what you're looking for it's your fault, not the sellers or the fault of the product. I pulled it out of my system. What a well-made rawhide hammer. Yes it's small but if you don't want to damage something…

Pros
  • Tools & Housewares
Cons
  • Very Expensive
