good all purpose hammer

for my taste it's a bit light but I've hammered 10g and 8g into the temples and cuffs and the finish still held without damaging my parts

Pros
  • made in USA
Cons
  • I'll add later

I've had one for years

I've had one of these for years. He's absolutely wonderful for a variety of tasks, not the least of which is slapping paint can lids. I still have one so I can carry it in the car so it's available when I'm not working at home. Excellent product.

Pros
  • packaging dimensions: 29.5 cm L x 4.0 cm W x 2.0 cm H
Cons
  • boring packaging

Well made, still prefer rawhide but good hammer

Bought on impulse and may not have found all the right uses yet but still prefer my trusty old rawhide for smoothing metal. I thought probably that it could create a little less mess but I'm not sure if that's really the case or if I had issues with staining initially it seems to bounce more I don't think my rawhide is lead weighted on the inside so maybe just the different density of the material is causing the rebound Well done but.

Pros
  • Head length 3-7/8"
Cons
  • Nothing here

I've had one for years. It is ideal for a variety of tasks, not the least of which is plugging paint can ends. I have another one so I can take it with me when I work away from home. Excellent product.

Well done still prefer rawhide but good hammer

impulse buy and maybe I haven't found all the right uses yet but so far I still prefer my trusty old rawhide hammer for straightening metal. I probably thought it could create a little less clutter, but I'm not sure if that's really the case or if I had smudge issues initially. It seems to bounce more. I don't think my rawhide is weighted internally with lead, so maybe just the different density of the material is causing the rebound. Well done though.

Pros
  • hammers
Cons
  • legacy model
