Like most Garmin products, this is overpriced. You would think something so simple would be in a $300 GPS. It's not just another way for Garmin to get $15.

Use another carabiner, belt ok. My carabiner spring failed the first time, causing my '64 to fall out of my pocket and leave a chip on my screen as we clambered over rocky terrain.

Ideal for Garmin eTrex 30x. What I received was an OEM product. I opened the box, took out the product and fitted it to the eTrex 30x with no problems. The carabiner and strap are very strong. I am very happy with this purchase.

Good quality, overpriced, too much packaging. I bought this for my Garmin Sport Pro to hang on my belt or vest but it hangs right side up it should be hanging with the antenna towards the ground. If the antenna points to the ground, you will see that the controls are in the correct position.

I didn't think I'd want to dangle my Garmin from my belt, but it hangs unobtrusively on my belt or backpack without getting in the way. If I'm picky, I want it mounted upside down so I can easily lift the device to look at it. Unfortunately it hangs with the device "right side up". Basically, if I clipped it to a friend's backpack in front of me, it would be easy to see and see where I was in relation to my path or landmarks. Clamp works great on my Garmin 64sx. Easily slides into the back of the device and snaps into place. Some have complained that it's difficult to remove. I do not think so. Simply lift the bottom of the clip slightly and then pull down. The carabiner looks pretty solid. I use it to attach to my belt loop while walking. Haven't used it on my backpack yet but don't see a problem. While it also has a plastic clip that you can use, I found they break fairly easily. The only thing I complain about is
