Finally! AI for Garmin!

Great setup with the Mk2i Able to run multiple on the same watch. 4 out of 5 stars only due to inability to use other transmitters with Mk2i and vice versa (I also have Perdix AI)

Pros
  • Battery life: up to 100 hours of diving with one user-replaceable CR123 battery
Cons
  • Anything I can add

Works as described in Car and Vehicle Electronics

Bought and received a month ago, done 2 dives with transmitter so far. Works well and exactly as described with the Garmin Descent Mk2i. Easy setup and syncing and accurate readings.

Pros
  • Compact dive accessory attaches to high pressure regulator ports without interference from hoses
Cons
  • Annoying

Beeps but works perfectly!

After only two dives It was clear to me that artificial intelligence was in demand and was not disappointed. The audible chirping was distracting during the first few dives, but after I get used to it, I can't hear it anymore, and it doesn't chirp enough to be heard underwater on my GoPro Hero 8. My exhale on the 620ti is much louder. If you doubt this is related to the MK2i, don't. It costs money and the Garmin software is easy to use to log and catalog all your dives.

Pros
  • Pair up to 5 transmitters with each Descent Mk2i up to a range of 10 so you can dive with multiple tanks or see your dive buddy's air readings with optional equipment (sold separately) and required device pairing
Cons
  • Legacy model

Great when it works.

I want to love this but it's very unreliable. I may have gotten a broken one, but mine keeps cutting out while diving. Had I not had a reliable backup, I would have had to end some dives early. Thought it was the battery, replaced it. It still doesn't work with a new battery. It will not work at all, and then haphazardly add 10-15 minutes to the dive. I know when it's running because it beeps and my air shows on my watch as it should. Then it randomly stops and doesn't work until the end of the

Pros
  • Weatherproof; Water resistant to 11 ATM or submersible (100 meters)
Cons
  • High price
