Best I have ever used, great product for anyone!

The price tag is also not cheap, but you are essentially getting a high-tech professional device with the ability to connect additional. sensors and sensors.

    Pros
    • One of the top watches for recording sports training. We load maps of the area and it is unrealistic to get lost even in the dense forest. The sapphire glass guarantees us excellent scratch resistance. Quick-release straps bracelets.
    Cons
    • They stick out quite noticeably in thickness, so it happens that you catch them on clothes or when you try to stick your hand into a narrow place. The weight is also not easy. Silicone straps, who knows, this is generally a consumable, they change about once a year.

Absolutely useless, bad purchase, sorry to anyone who bought it.

I chose this watch for the possibility of measuring the pulse from the built-in sensor, in the reviews no one wrote that he was lying. I also wanted to connect my external heart rate monitor from another manufacturer, which I also did not receive. So far disappointed.

    Pros
    • Autonomy, convenience of the menu - everything is clear and quickly configured. Cover my entire range of sports, skiing, strength training, running, cycling.
    Cons
    • I will write about what I have revealed at the moment and this is not at all compatible with their cost and PR about them. The built-in heart rate monitor is terrible. Maybe during rest he still somehow tries to show the truth, then during training the difference is up to 40 strokes. Tested with polar and sigma chest heart rate monitors. It even feels clear, I can’t breathe, and the Clock shows 120 beats, how is it? Only the polar h10 sensor can be connected via bluetooth smart, the rest from other manufacturers most likely will not work. Therefore, this ability to connect third-party sensors is not an advantage for this watch. The pedometer does not work well, I drive a car, and the Clock counts the steps, I jump on the spot, but they still count.

I expected mediocre quality, but the product was pleasantly surprised.

    7. Data screens for workout modes disappear. Those. you spend time setting up data screens, and then you start the activity, one or two screens just don't show up. You go into the settings, thinking that you forgot to set something up, but no - everything is set up, only the data is not visible . As you can see, these are all childhood mistakes that Garmin stubbornly refuses to fix. New firmware arrives regularly, but they do not solve problems. In general, I am satisfied with the watch…

    Pros
    • There is no point in talking about the merits, the network is full of (video) reviews where all these merits are savored. In short, a solid case, high-quality assembly, an abundance of sensors, sapphire crystal, a huge battery life.
    Cons
    • There are not so many cons, but I still want to talk about them. In order of discovery, not importance. Hardware: 1. Weak vibration response to notifications from a smartphone, as well as during training. 2. There is no way to increase the volume of notifications. You can only enable and disable the sound of notifications / alerts. 3. Looks for satellites for a very long time and builds routes even longer. Software: 1. Incorrect operation of the pedometer when driving in a car. For example, I recently traveled 1000 km to the north, where the road, to put it mildly, is not very good. So the clock counts every bump as a step, or even several. That's how I managed to "pass" 12936 steps without even getting up from the car seat. :) In my opinion, the problem is solved in an elementary way: it is enough just to take into account the readings of the heart rate monitor, which just correctly determines the lack of physical activity. 2. Incorrect operation of the pedometer when swimming. Why the hell do steps in the water count at all?! And this is with a manually included lesson - "swimming in the pool." I came into the pool, there were about 500 steps on the clock, I got out - more than 3000 steps . Is it really difficult to turn off the pedometer in this mode? 3. Inadequate operation of the backlight. When you raise your hand to look at the time, the backlight turns on every other time. More often, even when the hand has already lowered. Damn, even Apple watches can do this normally. 4. The built-in heart rate monitor does not display data during training. Those. displays, but for this you need to go to the settings menu and disable and enable the sensor again, only then the data will be visible during training. 5. There is no way in the smartphone companion app to customize the standard watch faces, as well as see how they will look on the watch. The main thing is that for third-party dials it is, but for built-in ones it is not. 6. Built-in widgets do not always work correctly. For example, the weather widget. It turned out to configure it only after a complete reset of the clock.

Bad product, not worth the money.

The device turned out to be ambiguous, a big failure of Garmin in my opinion. On the one hand, it is indeed a very pleasant and functional multi-sport watch. On the other hand, there are fundamentally unsolvable problems. Moreover, in the younger Garmin models there are no such problems (GPS, synchronization). Phoenix is not recommended for purchase. Better get a garmin 935.

    Pros
    • 1. Autonomy. Long battery life 2. The watch is really beautiful. 3. Very wide functionality. 4. User friendly interface 5. The fast charge function solves if you forgot to recharge the watch before training
    Cons
    • 1. The worst GPS reception of all Garmin models, much worse than on mid-level models from six years ago even. The city draws disgrace, not a track. Often loses signal. Most likely it's in the steel case, apparently it works like a screen. 2. Garmin releases untested ates. Sometimes the functionality that worked fine before stops working after the ate. 3. Because of the curve ates, there is often a problem with synchronization with the phone via Bluetooth 4. Mapping is cool, but sometimes loading a map can kill your device. The solution is a warranty replacement.

Matches the description completely, very satisfied.

In my opinion, those owners who criticize the product chose not what they needed . It's like dreaming about a sports car, but buying an SUV. The price just can not please) Has some pros The main advantage, as I think, after 1.5 years of daily operation is reliability. They work in the most extreme conditions where many "more sophisticated" watches with beautiful screens would have died long ago. Do not depend on the phone and the Internet (autonomy). Excellent navigation. Cons below: Price…

    Cons

    Excellent workout companion

Great workout features, great app and the integration with MyFitnessPal to track what you eat and drink is very handy. This is a big watch, not suitable for short people. The battery capacity is really good, it seems to require 1 charge per week. (I make two partial loads instead)

    Pros
    • Handy item
    Cons
    • Negative experience

Great watch: GPS, viewfinder and accessories

I switched to this Garmin from my Apple Watch and I love it. The battery lasts about a week when I've been doing a lot of GPS tracking, but with a battery that barely lasted a day, this is a huge improvement. Not as feature-rich as the Apple Watch when it comes to notifications or calls, but it's certainly enough and it does it very well. The app does a lot more with performance metrics, which I really like.

    Pros
    • GOLS certified
    Cons
    • Blank

    This watch looked like new

My health insurance pays for a new activity tracker every year. I bought a Forerunner 935 in 2018. I really like the watch, but the screen scratches easily. This year I came across a restored Fenix 5 Sapphire. There is a noticeable difference in weight between the two, but once the Fenix 5 is on my wrist and it's not moving, the weight isn't an issue. I like the Fenix 5 better than the Forerunner 935. The features are about the same, but the Fenix 5 feels significantly more premium. I couldn't…

    Pros
    • Decent performance
    Cons

    Cool clock that doesn't work.

I have tried many Garmin and Suunto watches this year. Before buying it I had a Garmin Venu that fell off in a minor mountain bike accident and only realized it was gone after the bike park closed. The Venu was a pleasure to use, but unless you're an avid runner I see no point in buying it. I didn't want to buy a refurbished watch and my intuition was correct. Communication and notifications were beyond finicky. I'm very tech savvy and couldn't get my phone and watch to work properly together…

    Pros
    • Keep key stats at your fingertips with a performance widget that shows you your training status, training load and more.

    Good for exercise but adorable

This watch looks damn cool ! But. the pedometer is incredibly off and the stair tracker doesn't even work. But let's think about it, this watch is usually on our most dominant hand, we use it to drink coffee, to write, how the watch knows the difference, right? So I don't blame Garmin for this, but it's awful because there really isn't a definitive way to get this info unless it's on your ankle! I bought this watch because in my personal opinion Fitbits are ugly and the Apple Watch isn't much…

    Pros
    • Onboard navigation sensors include GPS and GLONASS, the ability to track in more challenging conditions than GPS alone, and a 3-axis compass, gyroscope, and barometric altimeter
    Cons
    • Some cons

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

The more I use it, the more inaccurate it seems to me...

Big, yes, but great for running and working out. I ordered the sapphire version and it didn't come with the second strap you get when you order a new one so it was quite disappointing... The sleep tracker is useless so you could change the setting to not even use it to display . in the appendix. It can't tell if you're awake until you get out of bed. As I sit here updating this review he thinks I'm still asleep even though I've been gone for an hour. This then skews the recovery statistics…
