This is the best deal, at the time of this review this item is selling for less than the friction mount itself. I bought this for a friction mount and threw away the case. My Garmin GPS is 5 inches, so it doesn't fit in this case. However, the case appears to be of fairly high quality. So if you need an enclosure, it should do the job just fine. My dashboard is curved halfway back, the clock is recessed, and my Garmin Nuvi can't display the current time without replacing other valuable information, so I have to it can see the car's clock and GPS together.
