Works pretty well - GPS accessory

I needed to be able to get traffic without pairing my phone. It seems to be working to make it this far. I've used it several times and it has kept up with what my phone is showing. While it requires a connection to your car, it also powers your Garmin, so that's a good thing.

Pros
  • Nice packaging

  • Some cons

Direct replacement for the old one. The problem is there.

Direct replacement for the old one. The problem is that Garmin assumed (or didn't design it at all) that you would judge your performance via the GPS depending on the angle of insertion. I think it's *possible*, but I always turned off the GPS. So you stress the wire and after 5 years the cable has to be replaced. Still cheaper than the new TOL Garmin GPS.

  • Good product for the price

Exactly the same as the one that came with my GPS.

Это потрясающе, провод внутри моего старого сломался и больше не работал, купил обычный шнур питания и, конечно, не получил все мои оповещения о дорожном движении, которые я люблю в своем GPS, поэтому решил укусить пулю и получить one more thing. It's so nice to have it back, I've ridden the Hot Shot for years and it's been a huge benefit, now I only use it to tow my 5er and it's nice not to slow down and crash on the road avoid. secure.

Pros
  • Сертификация GOLS
Cons
  • Почти никогда

. This is the only power source and wireless receiver that works with the rear camera. This one won't work. So if you need a reversing camera in addition to traffic reception, you can use the connection with your mobile phone. However, don't buy this to receive signals from the rear camera. It will not work. I had to send it back.

Pros
  • . One-year trial
Cons
  • . Expensive

Garmin and their stupid app request for free traffic is stupid

Garmin and their stupid app request for free traffic is stupid. I got this for the Drive 51 LM (no traffic at all) knowing I didn't want to rely on my phone for my GPS. This works well enough, but I don't know if the traffic is always available. There have been a few times where I've driven through Denver traffic and my GPS showed it was slippery or told me there was traffic since I barely walked around with a car. It's not Garmin, it's Denver FM traffic.

Replacement that works

I bought this to replace the cable that originally came with my Nubi 1450. Back then, GPS devices had to be hacked, so I always removed them whenever I parked in a public place. The problem was that the mini USB connector wore out and became loose over time so I had to replace it. It works just like the original. The only problem is that the "lifetime" traffic subscription is for the life of the cable, not for Nuvi or you! If I had called and harassed Garmin customer service I might have gotten

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No automatic

This is key for those looking to replace their old Garmin power cable ***especially for models with a road radio ***: THIS part of Garmin is the ONLY way to keep road radio functionality on your device(!). The radio is actually in line with the power cord (note the rectangular module on the cord) and is NOT included in a competitor's replacement power cord. This fact seems to be missing from every other review I've read here for this replacement product. Also note: This new GTM 36 is at least…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

very convenient for renting cars or changing vehicles.

I have an older and albeit new every week much older GPS on my floor. It uses legacy VHF radio signals for coverage in urban areas where congestion is most likely. It is a necessary part "A" of the road system. You will also need the VHF antenna patch cord, item "B", which plugs into the socket on this unit. Antenna sold separately. It has a small suction cup that allows it to be held upright for the best possible reception. I had a trip in Omaha where a fatal accident closed the interstate…
