Broke instantly on car mounts

The connection between the very stiff neck and the suction cup is poor quality plastic welding/gluing. When I attached it to the windshield and gently bent the neck with both hands, the neck came right off the suction cup part. Do yourself a favor and buy one with a second mounting pad lower down the neck!

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Poor instructions

EXTREMELY difficult to bend!

Bought this for my 79 year old mother to use with her Garmin DriveSmart 60 GPS. It seems to work great for GPS but it can't be used because the arm is so stiff even I can barely bend it! It's too hard to bend for a person without a lot of arm strength. It will be returned. UPDATE: I've decided not to return this and give it a try. It's very difficult to bend, but once it's in the right position, it stays there. It also stays on the window. I am revising my rating to four stars.

ARKON Gooseneck Mount for Garmin

On my old 3.5 inch Garmin navigation system, I liked the regular windshield mount. This hasn't happened with my new 5" nuvi 1490, wherever I put it. I ordered a Garmin friction mount, which may have worked, but just looked too big and unsightly on my dash. I then ordered the Navitech Vent Mount and thought it was blocking the vent and probably not very secure. Then I got an Arkon gooseneck and it fits my car perfectly (2003 Lexus ES300) It holds very firmly to the lower left corner of my…

Fits Oregon

My Oregon 550t came with a windshield mount that never worked. The device always fell off after about a quarter of an hour. Searching the web doesn't mention any non-Garmin windshield mount compatible with Oregon. Because of this, I experimented with vent mounting options that never worked properly. After years of frustration I took a gamble and bought this Arkon mount and it's fantastic. Considering the gooseneck, it outperforms the tiny Garmin mount if it worked. Here's a tip that has…

Good if 5 " Arno GN022 5 " doesn't fit

I wanted something as my iPhone 5S, which is larger than my iPhone 4S, hit the windshield when I was unplugging it pulled (I use the ProClip holder). I couldn't decide between this or the GN02 5" and given the cost of returning it I decided to try both. I found the 8" vibrated too much and I was carrying it too far from my windshield. for my taste (I have a 2007 Mercedes E350). But if you can mount it so that the part can rest on the dash or somewhere, it also works well for pushing things off…

Pros
  • Happy so far
Cons
  • Everything is fine
