I used this to seal the cracks on my new cheap offset smoker. I applied it to the edges of the firebox and cooking areas and saw an improvement in temperature control and fuel efficiency. I've smoked and grilled about 6 times and the pods hold up even when in direct contact with the flame. This is a great and inexpensive way to upgrade your grill setup. If I had to find fault somewhere, it would be that removing the foil covering the adhesive can be a little tricky.

My Pellet Smoker arrived a little wrinkled. The lid could not fit snugly to the smoker's body when closed. The gap caused heat loss during cooking and so the pellets burned much faster than needed to keep the heat constant. I bought this tape and to my surprise it worked great. No more smoke comes out of the hood. I've smoked 3 times since installing, smoked about 20 hours and it's holding up great. I definitely recommend it.

I've joined the pellet grill revolution this spring and am enjoying our pit boss. However, I missed the stronger smoky flavor that our smoker gives. This insert fits my BBQ Smoker very well. I sealed all edges around the lid to prevent smoke from escaping for long periods of time. I immediately noticed that I could control the temperature of the grill better and dial the temperature down to the level I wanted. One tip is to make sure your grill is clean so the tape has a clean surface to stick to. It does not stick to oily surfaces. And after you apply the tape, let it sit for a few days before using the grill. Highly recommended!
