Great product for threaded water pipes!

Tired of wrapping the pipe in ordinary white Teflon tape just for it to leak when you twist it? Tired of adding more packaging only to have it rip during assembly? Here's the solution - thicker, high-density pink tape! Requires fewer twists and is much stronger, making tight connections easy to make. Yes, it costs more, but it's definitely worth the money!

Amazing product - 1 spool holds enough for multiple connections

Used as water line sealant on a water heater. All of the fittings between the water lines and the hot/cold water shut-off valves had small leaks where the o-rings would not shear them off. After using this on each thread (it took a long time but luckily one spool holds a ton of sealing tape) not a single leak! I am not a plumber and have never worked with plumbers nor installed a water heater. However, without him I would not have been able to complete this project. Pipe Goop is good too, but I

But it's great.

After extensive research I have come to the following conclusion: - Pink and yellow threads tend to be premium. The density (teflon thickness in grams per inch, etc.) is usually higher than regular white teflon tape. Tape with "Premium" threads is 0.0035" to 0.004" thick (very thin! 4 mil). - As already mentioned, white PTFE tapes are usually thinner and therefore cheaper. (0.0015" etc., 1.5 mil) - You generally need fewer turns of thicker tape (3-4 turns vs. 7-8+), it also doesn't break as…
