Ideal street lower hose for Ford 400.

Lower radial hose perfect for 77 f150 with 400! The picture may differ slightly from yours as I have a 1970's body on a '77 frame.

Pros
  • Meets SAE 20R4 class D2 and DIN 73411 class A (except tolerances)
Cons
  • Zero

Functionality on heatsink

Works as needed. The fan belt hit, so I had to remove the heatsink from the main support by about 0.75 inch. It was a new aftermarket radiator, so the radiator could be the problem.

Pros
  • Specially designed materials prevent vacuum breakdown
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen

Installation Issues: Hoses

When new the hose is very tight and will swell when heated and the power steering belt rubs against it. Luckily I noticed that before I took it out on the road because it would have put me in a bind. I had to use a universal flexible hose.

Pros
  • EPDM hose; Reinforcement with synthetic fiber; heat resistant, ozone resistant and chemical resistant EPDM cover
Cons
  • Compatibility
