Gates makes excellent hoses and belts.

The water pump on my old '93 Jeep GC failed after 10 years and 200,000 miles. The old lower hose was the same age so I replaced it. I only chose Gates because the Gates serpentine belt I wore 10 years ago is still good! Did I mention it's a Gates radiator hose? Ten years later, ask me how you're doing.

Every car has a top and a bottom. In addition to air cooling.

Gates products have always been very good. We've been using them for over 40 years and they're still worth it. You must keep the inner spring from the old lower radiator hose to put back into the new one. This could be an accident but they usually come with a spring inside to prevent the hose from collapsing due to kinking and water pump priming.

  • Difficult to say

Quality that keeps you on your toes.

It's nice when you buy something that is the right size, has contours and comes with a protective cover. Quality material and construction, just like the hose you're replacing, and it's cost effective! I bought new clamps, although I probably didn't really need them, but figured the cost would be minimal. I took the old hose off, put this on and it worked. It's too early to say how well it will hold up over time, but I think it will be fine.

ZJ 4.0 Lower Radiator Hose

Used to replace a leaking lower radiator hose on my '98 Jeep ZJ Grand Cherokee with 4.0 I6 engine. Came with a really nice knurled plastic protective sleeve to prevent wear on the stabilizer bar if they touch. The hose was a slightly different shape than the hose I removed from the car, but I had no trouble connecting it to the radiator and water pump, maybe it's just a manufacturer difference. If you are replacing this hose and haven't already done the top hose I would recommend doing it atโ€ฆ
