Received a TVS cap in a Gates box

Bought this 'brand new' Gates radiator cap, supplied and sold by Revain. I opened the box and found another brand (TVS) in the Gates box. Didn't even fit my radiator. I requested a refund and the system said to keep it. I just threw it away. Total failure. Pretty shocked that this was shipped and sold by Revain.

Works but not like OE

If you have an old bucket and just need it to keep it working for a few years it will work fine. The materials are noticeably inferior to the originals, but that's quite enough. If the OE lasted 10 years then I'm pretty sure this one will last 3-5 years. As long as you know what you're getting and what to expect, you're good to go.

MADE IN CHINA, thin but won't leak.

I bought a Gates cap instead of a Stant because the picture shows it was made in South Korea. The reason is that I don't like buying Chinese made parts when I can avoid them. Well it arrived and I opened the beautiful box to see the "MADE IN CHINA" stamped right on the front. Yes, it's a flimsy piece of junk made mostly of plastic, but it seems to be working fine and solved the old lid issue. Make no mistake, it's cheap and flimsy, but I'm not sure another brand is better. OEM Honda might be of
