Incomplete - Parts

All o-rings not included, the pump to tank o-ring set is round not square. The O-ring of the sensor is not included in the scope of delivery. The quality of the O-ring material used is questionable. Higher quality OEM material, still in good condition after 24 years of service, 281,000 miles. You must reuse the tank and sensor o-rings. I hope the Sealand shaft bushing is of good quality. ? at Gates about this recompression kit, if that's what it's supposed to be. No (x) on this pump anywhere.

Great alternative.

This repair kit had everything I needed to fix a leaking power steering pump in my '88 Dodge W100. I had complete confidence in purchasing this kit as it is a Gates branded product and I know it is a good and reliable brand in the automotive industry. For the do-it-yourselfer definitely a great and cheaper alternative to buying new. The instructions that came with the kit were pretty decent, although I searched the internet for more details and better illustrations/pictures. or restore.

Cheaper than a new pump!

This Gates 350390 Power Steering Pump Repair Kit that comes with instructions was the perfect fix for my leaking 20 year old Saginaw pump. However, it should be noted that if damage is discovered during disassembly of the internal hard parts of your pump (except for the shaft sleeve) this kit will not render the pump operational again and you need to replace the pump.
