🔧 Gates 38009 DriveAlign Belt Tensioner Pulley for Drive Systems Review

My analysis of this pulley showed that it is not durable enough for automotive use. Despite being marketed as a high-quality product, it failed to meet my expectations. The only positive aspect is that it was easy to install, but ultimately not worth the cost.

Used to replace the original pulley on a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Fits perfectly and the bearing is smooth as silk. The bearing in the old one began to crunch a little. However, there is a deduction of 1 point because the reinforcing "ribs" on this part are significantly thinner than on the original part. I can only hope it holds up to abuse like the original.

I don't know what happened to the gate but I thought they used to be among the best in the pulley and belt line. I ordered an idler, it's very light, cheap thin plastic and the bearing is cheap. I don't know how they didn't break the plastic by pushing the bearing in. Capital is now flying out the window with all the details, but something as small as I thought would survive. Just go with deiko. I will return this 1 because I don't get hit on the road for problems. They just made it cheap.
