When the factory one fails, it sounds like a bad power steering pump, I've never heard such a noise. Installing them on many vehicles requires loosening the engine mounting bolts on the side of the pulley. Be sure to support the motor and make sure you haven't completely removed the screws. I have a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country (LX) and it fits perfectly. The ride is really smooth. I installed it last month and it's a pain trying to get the old one out. I recommend lowering the engine a few inches or you'll be cursing most of your Saturday. I ended up doing it and the old pump came out.
