Great cable that is very easy to work with. I used it to mount an amp that needed 2 AWG wire and it fitted the hole on the amp perfectly. I would recommend this cable to anyone looking for a quality 4 AWG at a good price.
buyers beware! The wire advertised as 4th gauge is NOT 4th gauge wire! I got something marked 4 gauge but the diameter was more like 8 AWG. It was even smaller than my $10 4 AWG wire. I will return it as soon as I receive it. All I can say is that it is indeed an OFC.
This is a great wire no matter what you use it for. True for calibration. I used it to install a car amplifier, I'm very happy with my purchase. A few months ago I bought a power cable and thought it was copper, but it contains more aluminum than copper. I will come back to buy more of this copper wire.
Pros
Testers give high marks for support and durability
It is very flexible and easily handles tight turns. I installed a dual battery system with a 200 amp alternator and isolator in my 91 Bronco. I have an extra fuse box in the back that powers the interior and exterior lights. and other outlets. This cable is my main power supply for the charging system and all of my flashlights and accessories. That works great.
Amazing product. This wire deserves more credit. Every car audio cable blown away. I bought a 4 gauge wire from a local store, it's a CCD, the plastic cap is huge, and the actual wire is half the size of that wire and more expensive you see. I will never buy a so-called audio power cable again. Highly recommended !
Excellent wire but I and others think the gauge isn't quite right. ordered 4g, attached my wire gauge to it and it shows 6. Also perfect for 6g wire terminals. but the wire is clearly marked #4. sooo I ordered 2g just to be on the safe side. also measure 1 size smaller. So either my Eastwood measuring tool is wrong or the wire size is wrong.
This is the real deal. I have used this material for both 100 amp tig/stick welding and heavy duty car audio applications. It's heavy and real copper, full in comparison to the BS you get with "subwoofer kits" which have thick plastic shielding and a tiny amount of plated aluminum wire. With a subwoofer, I don't know if I can tell the difference, but welding with my setup sometimes requires squeezing out each amp, and this quality wire helps me with that. Besides, it's just good Americanβ¦
Excellent wire, everything is as in the description! I used this cable to provide car battery power to the trunk for the amp and subwoofer. I used the leftover wire for the ground, I had lots of wires for this job. DO NOT waste your money buying ready made amp kits, they are a total rip off, contain useless stuff and usually not real 4 gauge and not all real copper inside. If you see CCA (Copper Clad Aluminum) in the cable description of your amp kit, you're getting crappy cable. Buy this andβ¦
