Misleading Measurement

I bought the product believing it was 4AWG. Is not. SAE.AWG (American Wire Gauge) 4-gauge wires are 3-12% larger in diameter than SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers), with a concomitant higher load capacity. Seller must clearly state that this wire is not 4th gauge wire. Because of this, many reviews say the wire gauge is not large enough for a 4 AWG ring terminal.

Best Value Here

Great product in terms of 1) what it says and 2) it does what it does. That being said, one wire was 5" shorter and the other 3". I think I got the end of the coil, if you messed up because everything is an inch shorter it's really your (consumer) fault for not overestimating your measurements when it comes to wiring. That's how I did it, so no problem. I still have β‰ˆ3 feet of each.

Cons
  • Vulgarity

Not suitable for 4 gauge welders and accessories

This is a 6 gauge wire with 4 gauge markings. I use a 4 gauge hydraulic crimping tool for real wire and wanted to try a new brand, with a 4 gauge ring terminal and the correct crimp die the wire would easily fall out. I had to switch to a 6 gauge and cube ring terminal to get it to fit properly. If you have to walk a full 20 feet and expect 150 amps, this cable won't cut it. It's good quality wire, it's just mis-sold.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Cable Received Today (10ft Red x 10ft Black #4 GA Welding Cable). The insulation has been stripped a little and the conductor diameter is 0.23 to 0.24 inch. It's a bit tricky to measure a fine wire cable as it deforms when I put a caliper on it. This compares favorably to the #4AWG stranded wire spec, which is approximately 0.232" - 0.235" depending on the twist. This is much larger than #6AWG which is 0.185"- 0.186", again depending on the twist. Great deal and good product as advertised.

Not track 4. Maybe with tires. At best gauge 6

Cooper is very good. But copper is good for 8 gauge stereos. Nearly. Maybe a bit annoying when the hair is too big for a size 8. My size 4 connectors fit with a rubber boot. That you can't So I don't know what to do with them. I have a 4/8 gauge fuse holder and they work with an 8 gauge insert. A few extra pieces of copper didn't fit (maybe I should try again) but then the rubber boot fit fine where it should have been. I don't know how they screwed up the size. But for cheap crimp connectors…

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Speed

4 The wire size is correct.

I looked and looked at various sellers and there were some customer comments about the meter being too small. After much deliberation I decided to take a chance and buy this particular wire cable (4 gauge) and it turns out I checked the wire cable with a diameter gauge upon receipt and it is 4 gauge. Well, if it's not 4 gauge then there must be collusion between those who make gauges and those who make cables. I doubt it is. Otherwise, in this case, there would be many overheated cables across…

Pros
  • delivery was very fast

  • crumpled
