The switch on my lamp stopped working and I had to crawl across the furniture to turn it on and then unplug it to turn it off. This product has made my life easier and saved me the money I would have had to spend to replace or repair it. I have a button at the end of the table and now I just reach out and press the button to turn it on and off. I'm a lucky tourist!

Excellent product. Beautifully listed. I use cords to access my senior lamps. The lamp is connected to the cable, the cable to the socket. The on/off switch is located on the side table at the base of the lamp. Don't turn into a pretzel to reach the shadow with the chain. You can't stand by the lamp and reach into the shadows to throw me off balance. I'm a lucky tourist.

I wanted to switch two wall lights on and off at the same time. The product works well but I have a big problem with the length of the cable between the footswitch and the plug which is quite short. It's only about two and a half feet (I just measured). So now I'm forced to have a power strip next to the sofa, which I wanted to avoid.

The key pretty much requires a direct, vertical press to get a "good" keystroke. It's just that the button has too much travel, so the slanted approach makes it hard to press. activate. I fully understand the issue that other reviewers have had with the position of the footswitch relative to the fork. The way I got this to work for me was to plug a surge protector into an outlet behind my TV cabinet with a 6ft cord, then I wrapped the cord under the cabinet so I could use an extension cord/ a footswitch could hook up some garlands to it . chain method.
