Separate solution for us

So far I have been most impressed with the lifespan of our GE Lighting 63797 LED Brightstik 12 watt bulbs (75 watt replacement) but my wife is not so sure about the quality of the light. My guess is that the bulb emits a very white light but tends to catch and reflect the off-white color of our walls. They are used on the stairs in the hallway and in the illuminated toilet. They're really bright, but longer than you think.

We bought these for a ceiling fan despite being told it will shorten the life of the bulbs. The light isn't completely obscured, but it could be...it's a dome. I had to rotate the dome over the bulbs to get them back, but the bulbs don't get hot and the glass isn't warm or anything. They have great colors and are very comfortable. I bought daytime temp as a backup but we like warm light much more. Use caution with use - like the others, they are closer to 5-1/4" than 4-1/2".

Uniquely shaped LED bulb that works great and pays for itself very quickly

These GE LED lights are great. I have several LED bulbs from different manufacturers so I'm not new to this technology and they still amaze me. Why? A really great price, a unique shape that both looks good and makes the bulbs exceptionally easy to install and remove if necessary, and a great light color that's bright without hurting your eyes (note: they come in different wattages available, so check before you buy ) you are buying to make sure you're getting the brightness you want).
