Dishwasher GE Quiet Power 3

Works great and at a low price from the manufacturer. My dishwasher didn't fill up with water. No water leaked anywhere. I didn't realize I had a problem until I realized it was getting a lot of plates dirty. The electrical part of the valve worked perfectly. But it didn't work mechanically. Relatively easy to change. If you don't mind lying on the kitchen floor and you have the basic tools. Highly recommended.

The dishes are clean and the washing machine no longer drips

The dishwasher started to wash poorly and we thought maybe everything was clogged. Dishwasher washed and never mind. Then it started to flow! Took the car out and noticed that it appeared to be leaking (calcium/lime buildup). I actually broke (broken more) the old one removing it from the machine, but when I replaced it with this new part the dishwasher stopped leaking and started washing like new again. Fits perfectly and fixed my GE dishwasher problems.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Not the best

Update: Ordered in December 2014, the unit failed in June 2021. The original dishwasher was bought in 2009 so it will last around 6-7 years. The holes for attaching the bracket to the dishwasher were unthreaded. I only noticed it when I installed the hoses and cables. I managed to screw in a screw but didn't want to disassemble or return it, just waiting for a new part. I'm not sure if this is a defect or screws were used in the device. Also the valve looks exactly the same but I didn't run the

OEM part at 1/3 the price of most retailers

Genuine GE part in GE packaging Priced at 1/3 of what you would pay at your local appliance repair shop or supermarket. vary by model. It's not difficult, but does require some elbow lubrication in tight spaces. The hardest part was putting the pliers on the spring clip that held the rubber hose. Just not enough room to work and not enough hose to pull it out to work on it. What to remember. You need a corner bracket from an old part. When you remove it, remove all of the old teflon and wrap…
