Don't waste your money on these

They would be perfect if stuck. Glue is temporary at best. Used for very small holes in the tarpaulin after cleaning the surface with rubbing alcohol and drying overnight, stuck perfectly at first but fell off after a week. Don't worry, use a contact rubber glue and patch if you want it to last.

Easy to use and works great!

I used this to patch a small hole in my bike's road boot before I went on a two-week cross-country trip. After several heavy downpours I'm happy to report that the pavement has withstood and held back the water. I now take it with me on my bike when traveling in case new holes develop. Much better, easier and cheaper than changing the lid every time you have a small hole.

Pros
  • A year-long trial
Cons
  • Some bugs

Works great on a tear in a running jacket

While running I fell and tore (about a half inch) the sleeve of a fairly new lightweight nylon running jacket. I was confused but then decided I could fix it. And this Tenacious Tape has worked great so far, including a wash of the jacket. I added a patch to the inside of the sleeve (after trimming it) and it's thin enough not to get caught on my watch, which I was concerned about. So this is perfect for what I need.

Repair, not replace!

A house mouse that moved into our house last winter found my brand new Timbuk2 bag and decided to chew a hole in the floor to... I don't know what it was - maybe it was Interested in my MacBook power supply or my pens? Anyway, I patched the bag inside and out with these repair patches and it was a clean, almost imperceptible repair. Very happy with the result and glad I was able to have my bag repaired instead of going out and spending money on a new one.

Great product - adhesives, sealants and lubes

I had to repair a tear in my expensive ballistic nylon Tumi case after our last flight. I mentioned this name because they are very durable and will wear down like iron until touched by airline baggage handling. Tumi didn't have any offers, so I looked for an alternative. They are perfect for that. Of course it's not a perfect fix, but I don't care. The patch stuck and stayed in place even after additional rides. I put black on the outside and a transparent patch on the inside. Very solid…

Nice Strong Patch - Adhesives, Sealants and Lubricants

I fell and ruptured a 3 inch hole in my new Columbia jacket. I ordered these and patched the hole in the sleeve and pocket with the black patches. Looks great! more than one patch but I was able to cut another patch to cover it all. Looks great, can't say. Too bad I didn't get all the back patches and didn't try the clear patches so no reviews but overall it works great 4 stars because the backing paper was difficult to remove completely so I struggled a bit with the patch to get a nice even…

Pros
  • Got it!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Don't hesitate - the best patch

I rarely write reviews, but this product deserves serious attention. Last winter I drilled two holes in our pop-up ice fishing tent. The walls are double-layered with insulating fabric in between. It's not just sewing or patchwork. I used another set of patches that I found at a camping store and they wore out and fell off after a few rides. I found them online and boy am I glad I did! It withstood wet conditions, freezing in sub-zero temperatures and being crushed multiple times when the tent…

  • Absolutely amazing!

Clear patches work well on urethane finishes.

I had a Thermarest Trail Scout mattress with over 20 cat holes. I only used clear patches (no adhesion at the seams) and they completely covered the holes to the point where I was able to sleep on the mattress without air escaping. I've heard they don't work that well with nylon or power fabrics, but I imagine they will work wonders on a worn pair of frog toggs or other urethane fabric. Nothing sticks to silicone, but if you try, use rubbing alcohol to clean the DWR of anything you want to…
