The product was not suitable for my application as the space was too limited and space is required for this. Bought another wrench (eccentric filter bottom type) and it worked fine.

You really can't beat this product. It works as it should. I've been using mine almost daily for a few months now and they haven't worn out or slipped yet. The only thing that would be nice is the "off" and "on" engraving, but it's easy to figure out.

These things hold the filter. I work on heavy machinery and use it several times a day. I have yet to find a filter that this won't remove, and when I say "you can tighten it" you can tighten it! I typically use them with a 12-24 inch breaker or telescopic ratchet. They have held up beautifully for over three years and continue to grow; like I have to say, big bang for the bucks.

I thought this was the answer to a question about removing the large oil filter from my Cummin RV engine. The filter is 4.5 inches in diameter, so you will need a large filter wrench. In short, this wrench simply slips onto the filter. He couldn't grab the filter tight enough to remove it. Maybe I need one that's a little smaller? Also, they don't have much room to turn that key, maybe that's why it's slipping?

My last oil change was done by a Freightliner dealer and I know from past experience these guys like to over tighten the oil plus and filter so I needed a heavy duty wrench for the oil filter to remove the large oil filter on my Cummins RV ILS9 engine. This thing worked great. I hooked up a breaker to it and it started right up with no fuss. A word of caution, make sure it's the right size for your oil filter.

I work as a diesel engine repair technician in a large shop. This filter key works 99% of the time. The other 1% of the time it slips and you end up punching through the engine block or frame. Only 4 stars because it wouldn't be that hard to tighten the inside diameter of the wrench. Also the wrench sometimes likes to get stuck on its own rivets and it hurts a bit in tight spots.
