Easy to slip - doesn't grip tight enough

I thought this was the answer to a question about removing the large oil filter from my Cummin RV engine. The filter is 4.5 inches in diameter, so you will need a large filter wrench. In short, this wrench simply slips onto the filter. He couldn't grab the filter tight enough to remove it. Maybe I need one that's a little smaller? Also, they don't have much room to turn that key, maybe that's why it's slipping?
