Poor product, below average quality.

This is not a discount. This is a marriage sale. The corner of the ceramic body is open. I doubt the delivery did. The packaging was perfect with lots of bubble wrap. I'm sure the seller screwed up! I do not recommend buying here.

Pros
  • It's good that it works.
Cons
  • Broken.

Fun to experiment with

Doesn't produce enough power to be used as a 12 volt heat flow generator to run anything. 5 microcircuits received up to 17V, 3 sets of 5 microcircuits in parallel gave about 3/4 amps. 5V USB loads would be better as it's easy to get 2+V per chip. Put two in series, then all those pairs in parallel, and you can drive a 5V load like charging a cell phone. It's interesting to experiment. The thermal paste helps a little with the voltage generation. The TEG specific Revain chips appear to be…

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • No instructions

At 12V I got 10 pieces as follows: 2@2.8A, 3@2.7A, 1@2.6A, 2@2.3A, 2@2.2A. The cooling effect depends on the current consumption (I assume linear). That means they're all about half as good as they claim to be. I didn't expect more for the price, so I'm not disappointed. For variable cooling that's fine as long as I don't need very heavy cooling.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • protection

Arrived in good condition and working.

You just arrived. All were packed in a small box. None of these were broken, but they could probably have been packed a little better with a small piece of bubble wrap or styrofoam to keep the Peltier devices from moving around too much and to ensure they arrive intact. As I said, mine were fine. I just randomly tested 3 of these and they seem to be working fine. Great price for her. I'm looking forward to my project, I planned it!

Pros
  • Looks good
Cons
  • Not bad

Pleased and surprised

1. Received chips a few days late.2. All chips have been tested and all work perfectly.3. They say that there is no turning on and off as long as there is power. (I've bought Peltier ICs that turn on and off every few seconds.) 4. I haven't tested all of their temperatures yet, but the temperature difference seems to be 80 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, cool/hot. (Later I will post additional test results such as: - Temperature readings over time, cold and hot. - Current draw 5. All chips were 1.5…

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

One side colder than hot. So if you just plug it in alone, you'll feel the cold side get cold after a few seconds while the hot side get warm. After a few seconds, the hot side becomes so hot that the entire Peltier element becomes hot and begins to act as a heating element. As said, it will be relatively cooler than the hot side. So if you don't cool the hot side, the cold side isn't cold. If the hot side is hot, the cold side is colder than the hot side, but not cold enough to cool anything…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Not as effective as advertised. Bad cooling!

These chips operate at a maximum voltage of 15 volts and sometimes up to 5 volts. Based on my testing, 10V is the best power supply, but all ICs have either died or become inefficient* since purchase. Right now I'm getting about 64F in a 70F room and a hot water loop at 74 degrees Fahrenheit. In a real world scenario this wouldn't be very useful as the outside temperature is typically between 80 and 100°F depending on where you are and obviously using your building's HVAC to cool a room down to

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging
