Make a mini pc with PI 4

I overclocked my RPI4 to 2MHz. The cooler keeps the temperature down and the case makes the RPI4 look like a mini PC. The case is excellent. The instructions are a bit unclear and the Pi is only secured on one side, but otherwise it seems very secure. The cooler works fine. Very happy with my purchase, form and function.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Minor issues

Looks great BUT I'm disappointed

I had high hopes for this case as I already have their low profile fan. Instructions were not included in the case. I had to use images from the Revain website to figure it out. I finally figured it out and everything went smoothly. Under the light of the fan, the case looks AMAZING. However, the main disadvantage is that you cannot insert or remove an SD card without using tweezers. There is a slot, but the board is too far into the case to use your fingers.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • The list is going to be long.

Not for beginners (case only, no fan)

Wow, that's a sturdy little case. 1mm thick coated steel plates, room for (almost) any HAT or PHAT you can think of and good ventilation if you have one of the many fans available for the Pi4. My only gripe is the lack of M2.5 mounting hardware for the Pi myself. There are only eight screws holding the case together. There are two stud screw posts on the bottom of the case, but no screws or posts to attach the Pi. While this appears to have been designed for a large ice fan that includes the…

There was a problem with the USB controller

I had to return it. This case causes usb controller problems when my raspberry pi was installed; no devices or peripherals are working. I've tried several OS installations and they were all the same. When I took out the raspberry pi everything worked fine. The instructions are poorly written and the pictures are so small it's hard to see what they are saying about installing the parts. In addition, the micro SD card is very difficult to access once installed. Not to mention the fact that this…

  • Vulgarity

Very roomy and sturdy case

This is a good case - the fit and finish was excellent. I needed an enclosure for the Pi 4B + PoE+ hat and there is plenty of room for both. FWIW, internal screws are M2.5. On a non-working Pi 4B with a PoE+ hat, the temperature is 50-53°C - the fan kicks on quite often. The case feels warm. From the "Cons" perspective, there were several minor flaws: 1. The two halves of the case are secured with eight (8) screws. That's exaggerated. Four would have sufficed, and the screws were over…

Good luck assembling this junk

It's just a slotted metal box. All 9 screws are installed, but none of the screw holes are threaded. You'll end up with tiny screws half ripped off and you'll need some muscle strength to remove them. How long does it take to fill screw holes? This is how assembling a Pi with a horizontal fan becomes a puzzle. You need to remove the fan from the Pi and the plastic plate you are attaching the Pi to. Then you have to do a lot of detailed work and a lot of patience to figure out which stop goes…

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Cheap screw fell apart - impossible to open

On initial inspection I was not impressed with the product but found it to be worth $15. It came assembled but there was a small screwdriver in the box. These are two pieces of metal shaped like a box and attached to each other with 8 screws. As I started removing the screws from the bottom, I could feel the metal coming loose from each screw. Metal dust spilled onto my workbench and I could see tiny blobs of paint flying out of the screw hole with each revolution. In the end all four came out.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Very expensive
