It's very buggy: Computers and accessories

Make sure you get to the batteries, it likes to jam and won't turn off. You have to pull out both batteries to reset it. It would be ideal if the firmware wasn't so buggy and the software was more sophisticated.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Something else

The Geekworm PI Cooling Board (X728-A1) reduced the temperature of the non-overclocked PI 4 stress test by 25* degrees indoors from 81* F! It went from an operating temperature of 75°C to 50°C. It also dropped its idle temperature from 47°F to 38°F! After completing the stress test, the temperature returned to 38C very quickly, using the cheap thermal synchronizers installed with my CanaKit. Very impressive.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model

Works fine with Argon Fan HAT but LEDs are annoying at night

I'm surprised it integrates well with Argon Fan HAT as I've even bought another cheaper UPS for around $31 but it is at all not stable! I have been running my PI4 continuously for over 1 week with other peripherals namely USB SSD and Argon Fan HAT and they are powered by PI. I tested x728pld.py and x728bat.py scripts and they can work well to detect power failures. It also delivers power through the stylus, so it uses one less cable. I also love that the seller gives recommendations on the…

Good customer support

I bought one of these to install OctoPi/OctoPrint and I'm having problems with the X728. The device powered up the RPi perfectly, I was able to get an accurate reading of the battery level and do a performance test (also see if the RPi is running on batteries or 5V input. But I couldn't get any program information). shutdown and power off to work at all. In my case, after exchanging various things, I found that one of the third-party plugins for OctoPrint was interfering with the data exchange…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Frequency

Ok to be honest I have a couple of these and they generally work well and I like them so I ordered another one. just got version 2.0. It looks like a complete redesign (look at the 1.3/2.0 photos and you can see the differences). THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE THAT GOT ME A PROBLEM is that the BATTERIES are oriented differently than previous versions and of course I just pulled the battery out. Batteries out of the old and put them in the new and massive smoke. Yes, I wasn't paying attention, so this…

Good UPS with some features

This UPS meets most of my needs but I would like the Python2 scripts to control it to be updated from the manufacturer and if possible compatible with newer operating systems. After overriding a few things from the .py scripts provided on the wiki, it works enough with OpenWRT to query the battery percentage and do a controlled shutdown before the battery hits the low voltage cutoff, but I left it on "good enough", so I haven't got any power failure detection working there yet or 1 or 2 power…
