I'd love to write a review on how this product works but it doesn't come with batteries and I can't find the right battery. Every time I look for the battery listed here c batteries come back that don't fit. What a waste of time. Let me save you the trouble of choosing something that uses a standard sized battery or comes with what you need to use one.

Product is customized and easy to use. The problem is that the temperature readings are not accurate. It says it is off by a degree or 0.4 degrees Fahrenheit depending on where the measurement was taken is NOT correct. I measured my forehead temperature and found a range of 95.5 to 97.7 degrees Fahrenheit. This device and its readings are useless if you are trying to protect employees. This needs to be corrected, I suggest looking at something in more detail.

Sometimes readings are within 1 degree of a known temperature measured with a traditional oral or forehead scanning thermometer. Other times you will get random numbers like 95.x or lower. We found it was less accurate as it got colder outside, and we approached it after only being inside for a few minutes. I would still recommend it, but I think it's only good for people who *really* have a fever.

I decided to install the device with a permanent USB cable to power it and I just leave it on! It might not be as accurate as much more expensive models, but it will give you a good approximate measurement. You decide for yourself which upper limit is comfortable for you. So far, no one has had a temperature above 100.2. most are under 98.6, with an average of around 98. I always register lower myself because I tend to sweat more, so my forehead is usually colder.
